1 thessalonians 5 1 6.

And they shall not escape. Which professors of religion too much are, when they indulge themselves in carnal lusts and pleasures, and are careless and thoughtless about the coming of the day of the lord; So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.

Therefore let us not sleep as do others. A sleep of the spiritual faculties, which renders one insensible to danger, is meant. 2 you know very well that the day of the lord will come like a thief in the night.
